Lew Sterrett
Growing up on a farm in southeastern Pennsylvania, Lew was familiar with many animals, but had a special affection
for the horses. Joining the 4-H program at the earliest opportunity, he benefited from being in the 4-H horse programs and had many opportunities to train, show and
attain national recognition. Later, while attending as a student leader at Penn State University and majoring in the animal industry field, Lew learned from qualified trainers and educators. God used the time at Penn State University to get Lew’s attention in another way and to redirect his focus. After coming to know Jesus Christ as Savior and dedicating his life to the Lord, Lew forsook all his horse associations and sought Bible
training and preparation for ministry.
Upon acquiring that training and marrying Melodie Linebaugh in 1975, Lew and Melodie, moved to southern California, where they instructed in a Christian equine college. The
Lord used that time to emphasize more keenly the need of people and the benefits of practical vocational training. In 1977, Lew and Melodie returned to northwestern Pennsylvania to assume the directorship of Miracle Mountain Ranch Missions, located on 600 beautiful acres 40 miles southwest of Erie. Although formerly a summer youth camp, the ministry has grown over several years to become a full-fledged Christian
training center, overseeing a summer youth camp, a year-round intense
discipleship/leadership training program, weekend retreats and training, a counseling ministry, and many avenues of outreach to both secular and religious audiences, as well as to specific horse and school groups. Lew has also been involved in promoting safety
in public riding groups internationally.
During the course of these years, a ministry entitled “Sermon on the Mount”® developed
as a means of communicating basic relational principles which govern all human
relationships. This dynamic method of using horses to illustrate relationship principles
became an effective way to encourage parents, strengthen young people, win the lost,
and to motivate others to build their lives on Biblical truths. These presentations have
been effective in the lives of many people as a way to understand the difference between
training and teaching, how to use effective methods, and how to understand perimeters of love (i.e., balanced discipline). Subjects relating to faith, virtue, self-control, givers and
takers, conquering defeating habits, and defining significant life purpose are presented.
By using one to four horses, each lesson captivates the interests of all age groups as
they learn lessons for life from the language of the horse! Please visit www.SermonOnTheMount.org for more information on our tapes, itinerary,
pictures and other resources. Email SOTM@mmr.org with your questions.

Dan Chambers
I’ve owned and managed 4 BAR 4 Paint horses with my wife near
Delaware, Ohio. We train outside horses as well as our own, and
conduct riding lesssons. I conduct 3 to 4 clinics per year at my farm, where I teach Basic and Advanced Ground Training, to riders that wish to become more
familiar with the biomechanics of a horse, along with proper position,
use of energy, pressure and release, and timing. The goal for riders that come to my clinics and private lessons, is for
the rider to gain confidence and understanding of how to properly
manage their horse, whether on the ground or in the saddle. The prime objective for the horse is to leave with greater confidence in
their handler, and better understanding of what their handler is requesting of them.
I’ve developed a program I call Ground Training for the Saddle, in which I emphasize to the handler, the position they must have their body in and the resulting influence on the horse. I teach the riders to position themselves just as they would from the
saddle, become very congnizant of their horses foot falls, and how to
influence the feet as if they were in the saddle This is much safer for
the rider and horse, and results in not having to re-teach a manuever
once in the saddle.

Jesse Westfall
Jesse Westfall grew up watching western shows with his grandpa and knew early on that he wanted to ride horses. His parents attempted to redirect this desire into showing dogs yet in a twist of destiny his 4H leaders owned horses and happened to have a horse that wasn’t being used. Jesse worked to ride and later worked by training one POA pony to become the owner of another. This was an indication of the dedication that Jesse had to owning and improving his horsemanship.
Over the years Jesse has accumulated a record to be proud of including multiple NRHA and AQHA year end awards, and being a two-time reserve champion at the All American Quarter Horse Congress. Jesse serves as an NRHA judge and he has presided over shows in the US, Canada and Australia. He has a vast knowledge and interest in performance horses — especially reining — and he has spent years gleaning extensive knowledge from the many well known trainers for whom he has worked. Even now, though he is a talented trainer and seasoned horseman, Jesse never tires of riding with and learning from others. Jesse is passionate about his work. He has been acquiring his knowledge and expertise for most of his life.
He has a strong interest in bloodlines and breeding, and has put much time and effort into studying both. He has bred and helped manage customers breeding programs and is responsible for breeding horses that have won 11 All American Quarter horse Congress championships. He is constantly refining his skills and striving to be the best possible horseman that he can be. Jesse’s passion for horses is definitely a result of his passion for life. He serves as a constant inspiration to Stacy, and is a dedicated father and friend to their three young sons. He stands as a strong example to his family and to all those around him, unwavering in his beliefs and convictions.

Kaleigh Marie- Braveheart Beasts
Kaleigh Marie has traveled the country and crossed oceans to discover the true essence of liberty work from top trainers around the globe. She has dedicated her life to cultivating a connection with horses and the people who love them, and believes liberty work holds the key to finding the deepest levels understanding and attunement with these incredible animals
Although she grew up riding horses, the first animals Kaleigh Marie ever trained to work at liberty were a pair of Holstein steers that she trained as a team of oxen when she was a teenager. They would work at liberty as a team, perform tricks, ride bridleless, and Roman ride bridleless.
Kaleigh eventually discovered liberty work with horses as a young adult and has been dedicated to learning its art ever since. With influences from trainers all over the world, she has used her experiences from traveling, teaching, and performing internationally to develop her own unique approach to training horses at liberty. Her program focuses on creating a connection capable of high level performance through classical dressage principles and positive reinforcement at liberty and bridleless.
Kaleigh has performed with her team of Friesian Sport Horses at equine expositions, state fairs, renaissance festivals, and rodeos and has recently started using her horses for film work. She thoroughly enjoys taking all that she has learned through her adventures and sharing those lessons in her clinics across the US and in Europe, as well as through her online training academy.

Brendon Wise
Brendan Wise and his magnificent horse Lyric are challenging the world’s opinion on what is seen as impossible as they take bridleless riding to a level never before seen. Brendan believes that bridleless riding is not just for tricks and exhibition, but can also be a viable system for competition. Lyric and Brendan are the first in history to compete at the upper levels of show jumping bridleless, entering competition against bridled horses and competing as an equal alongside them. They have competed to the National Grand Prix level, and aspire to show the world that the impossible is indeed possible! Brendan’s philosophy and method of horsemanship is influenced by his extensive experience in many disciplines including Show Jumping, Eventing, Dressage, Reining, Working Equitation, and Racing. Drawing wisdom and tools from all these disciplines has helped Brendan develop a unique skill set that helps him approach horse training in a very open minded way. Keeping the integrity of the mind and body of the horse, and building them up as athletes is extremely important to Brendan, along with finding a deeper connection with these amazing animals.
