Elliot & Caitie Holtzman
Originally from Georgia, Caitie Holtzman grew up with a love of horses. In 2006 she moved to Texas, after high school graduation, with every intention of being in the horse industry. Caitie spent time in college earning a Master of Science in Ag Education and Equine. She then worked as an adjunct Professor in different Equine programs, rode horses for the public, and interned for other professional horsemen. Caitie now trains horses, performs, and teaches clinics full time along with being the Director of Clubs for the International Liberty Horse Association.
Elliot Holtzman was born and raised in North Texas. From horsemanship to crafting fencing and barns, playing piano and understanding primitive survival skills; Elliot holds a variety of knowledge. Being an entrepreneur since he was a teenager, Elliot took as much time as
he could afford to work as an intern with colt starters and horse trainers in the industry. He has successfully competed in numerous colt starting competitions, ranch horse events, and competed in the 2021 Snaffle Bit Futurity. Elliot is an adventurer at heart and in 2024, he and a couple of friends completed the Gaucho
Derby—a 500 kilometer horse race across Patagonia; the ultimate combination of horsemanship and survival.
Together, Caitie and Elliot Holtzman own and operate Versatile Horsemanship, LLC in Nocona, Texas. Their operation is a horse training and instruction-based business centered around starting colts, teaching clinics, and training Liberty horses. Both compete in NRHA Freestyle Reining, Cow Horse and Versatility Ranch Horse
events, Working Equitation, and are top competitors in the Liberty horse sport. Horses have taken the pair coast-to-coast, border-to-border, and around the world; from time spent holding clinics in Africa and Germany
to starting colts in competition at Heart of the Horse in Canada. Caitie and Elliot owe much of their journey to the horse and people God has placed in their lives through the horse. The pair have been performers and presenters at events such as Liberty Festival, Road to the Horse, Equine Affaire, Art of the Cowgirl, Western States Horse Expo and they are excited to be a part of The Horseman’s Mission in 2025. The Holtzman’s aim to
combine the art of horsemanship with exciting entertainment in their presentations, clinics, and performances.

Jesse Westfall
Jesse Westfall grew up watching western shows with his grandpa and knew early on that he wanted to ride horses. His parents attempted to redirect this desire into showing dogs yet in a twist of destiny his 4H leaders owned horses and happened to have a horse that wasn’t being used. Jesse worked to ride and later worked by training one POA pony to become the owner of another. This was an indication of the dedication that Jesse had to owning and improving his horsemanship.
Over the years Jesse has accumulated a record to be proud of including multiple NRHA and AQHA year end awards, and being a two-time reserve champion at the All American Quarter Horse Congress. Jesse serves as an NRHA judge and he has presided over shows in the US, Canada and Australia. He has a vast knowledge and interest in performance horses — especially reining — and he has spent years gleaning extensive knowledge from the many well known trainers for whom he has worked. Even now, though he is a talented trainer and seasoned horseman, Jesse never tires of riding with and learning from others. Jesse is passionate about his work. He has been acquiring his knowledge and expertise for most of his life.
He has a strong interest in bloodlines and breeding, and has put much time and effort into studying both. He has bred and helped manage customers breeding programs and is responsible for breeding horses that have won 11 All American Quarter horse Congress championships. He is constantly refining his skills and striving to be the best possible horseman that he can be. Jesse’s passion for horses is definitely a result of his passion for life. He serves as a constant inspiration to Stacy, and is a dedicated father and friend to their three young sons. He stands as a strong example to his family and to all those around him, unwavering in his beliefs and convictions.
